Portraiture

Portraiture

The creation of any portrait, an artistic representation of a person which includes a portrait painting and portrait photography which captures the likeness of a person or a small group of people . The idea of portraiture photography is the main focus of a face, showing every expression on view and becomes a composed image of a person in a still position.

  1. With you portraiture post I want you to discuss the journey that the portrait has taken from the early paintings of kings and queens to the drug fuelled photographs of Larry Clarke. The portrait used to be controlled by the model or person sitting for the picture Dianne Arbus and Larry Clarke amongst others changed that perception by controlling and choosing how they represent the people in front of the camera.
